Donny Osmond insists he's never said a swear word in his entire life

We've all been guilty of a slip of the tongue from time to time.
A latent realisation you've left the stove on; noticing you've forgotten your passport just as you've arrived at the airport; disputing a sporting decision which doesn't go in your team's favour.
If you're on the wrong end of the above circumstances, it feels like a worthy scenario to let out an expletive.
Even if you try your utmost to bite your tongue in front of the family, your colleagues or the general public, nobody is a saint.
Unless you are Donny Osmond that is, who recently insisted in an interview that he has never swore in his entire life.

The 'Puppy Love' idol has maintained a squeaky-clean image throughout his long and successful career with his band The Osmonds alongside his brothers.

Even when he hosted the hit variety show Donny & Marie with his sister, and as a solo star who continues to this day, Donny has kept his wholesome reputation intact.
And now at ripe age of 65, the singer has never let slip with profanity despite the many ups and downs in his storied career.
Though talking to People magazine recently, that doesn't stop the pop legend from thinking rude words.
Donny spoke to People after confirming his Las Vegas residency will be extended into 2024, and revealed his secret to staying swear-free.
He says his mantra is following in his father's footsteps, who similarly never ever swore in front of him, or anybody to the best of his knowledge.
"Never. Because I never heard my father curse," he tells the magazine of his father when asked if he's ever uttered a naughty word.
"He was tough, but he never swore. Obviously, I still think the words! There are certain people I would love to say certain words to at certain times, but I just think, 'Be like your dad.'"
Donny, the father of five children, is now the grandfather to fourteen grandchildren and strives to set a good example for his family.
However, his insistence on maintaining his 'good guy' image which started as a teen idol damaged his music career at times.
In one interview with the Chicago Tribute, he referred to himself in the third person, saying frankly that: "Donny Osmond was uncool and unhip in the late 70s and early 80s."
Years later in another interview, he revealed that his career was in such dire straits because of his pristine reputation, so he sought professional advice to shake things up.
"I remember hiring a publicist who figured out this whole campaign to get me busted for drugs and change my image," he admitted.
Osmond was brought up in a conservative Mormon household in Odgen, Utah, and has always been candid about his relationship with religion.
In 2016 he stated: "I'm a Mormon. I don’t fake it. I'm not a hypocrite. I'm not the kind of person who thinks everybody [should be]. No. I love the lifestyle, the family unity."
