Stevie Nicks has been announced for the BST Hyde Park festival this summer.

The Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter will play the massive outdoor London show on Friday, July 12.

"Anything that draws me back to London ~ and therefore to England ~ fills my heart with joy," said Stevie.

"And to be able to visit and make music… is always a dream come true…"

Tickets for the one-off show go on sale this Wednesday, March 6 at 10am. A pre-sale is open for American Express card members from tomorrow, March 1 at 10am.

The show will have a full supporting bill, which is yet to be announced. While the date is Nicks's only confirmed UK date for the year, she is currently on an extensive US tour that runs all the way to the summer.

Stevie is the latest in a list of absolutely massive names booked for this year's BST concerts.

She joins Kings of Leon, Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams, Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue and Stray Kids, with support across the ten days of music and entertainment coming from Paolo Nutini, The Vaccines, The Corrs and others.

While she'll always be best known as a key member of the most famous Fleetwood Mac lineup, it seems as though the band will never play live again after the death of Christine McVie in 2022.

"We did go out on the road and do a year-and-a-half tour with Neil Finn and Mike Campbell," Stevie told Vulture of the group's last dates, which took place after Lindsey Buckingham was forced from the group – allegedly by Stevie herself.

"We had a really great time and it was a huge tour. That was there in the realm of possibility. But when Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her. You just can’t. Without her, what is it? You know what I mean?"

She added: "She was like my soul mate, my musical soul mate, and my best friend that I spent more time with than any of my other best friends outside of Fleetwood Mac. Christine was my best friend.

"When I think about Taylor Swift’s song 'You're on Your Own, Kid' and the line "you always have been", it was like, that was Christine and I. We were on our own in that band. We always were. We protected each other.

"Who am I going to look over to on the right and have them not be there behind that Hammond organ? When she died, I figured we really can’t go any further with this. There’s no reason to."
